Default HOW TO: Fix Google Chrome from Crashing when watching YouTube videos via BCA

As there is an increasing number of Youtube videos being shared on the forum as well as increased use of Google Chrome as the default browser, I am certain you have encountered this issue before or currently.

    Issue:
The symptoms of the issues is specific to the Google Chrome browser when watching Youtube videos and having more than one Chrome browser open.

    Cause of the Issue:
The cause of this issue is due to the Flash Player plugin installed within the Google Chrome browser conflicting with the separate Flash Player that is installed in your computer. This causes the browser to crash while you're watching a Youtube video. Once the browser crashes, you may need to restart your computer as it locks up your computer OR Chrome will automatically close; upon opening up Chrome again, you will notice a error message stating “The Following Plug-in Has Crashed: Shockwave Flash”.

    ************************************************** ************************************************** *******************

    Steps to fix this error:
    1.) Open up Chrome.

2.) Type in “aboutlugins” into the address field; this will open your Chrome Plug-Ins page.

3.) On the right side, located and click the “Details” link expand the details about your plug-ins.

4.) Scroll down and locate Flash. Observe to see if there are 2 Flash plug-ins, one that is installed with Chrome and the other is the stand-alone that is installed to be use with your other browsers.

5.) If you have 2, then you need to disable the one with Chrome installed (the top one or see the below picture for details)

6.) Now restart Chrome. You're just hopefully fixed this issue.
