Im just curious, why are there TWO different societies here in Vancouver?? Wouldnt it be beneficial to only have one and combine resources for bigger and better functions??

Multiple locations, different times, different agendas, different ideas.
Why have more then 1 of anything..
Why are there 1000 fish websites... lol
Some churches like to stand when they sing hims, some like to sit. Like Shawn said, different agendas.
Either way, they're both located in very difficult-to-access locations if your a transit user!

And even if you have car and live somewhere in Langley or coquitlam, you still have to travel through lots of lights and with lots of traffic and it takes forever. I wonder if there ever will be location more central and closer to skytrain. I guess there is $$$ for rent anywhere else.
I suspect (not a member of either, so I can't say for sure) that rental of the meeting space may be donated or reduced, or at least reasonable . As both societies are member-supported non-profits with an education component, it seems unlikely they would spend money just for an address with cachet.
