    Default how to plant,... gelpacks

I've seen your plants at PJ's and was impressed with the emersed growth in what I would call gel.

What's the best way to plant these in an aquarium?

Is there any concerns going from emersed to submerged?
Do you pull the plants roots out of the gel? Or cut out a piece of gel and plant that?

    thanks

You should be able to wash off the gel and plant from them from there, no need to cut anything (the gel is really loose and come off easy). We have had nothing but good comments on the way our plants transition from the tissue cultures (gel packs) to the aquarium, they tend to root quick and you usually have good growth right away. Let me know if you have any more questions.

i found luke warm water (slightly cool to your wrist) easily washed away most of the gel. Since i purchased a carpetting plant, i split apart the bunch and lightly massaged the roots under the water to release more of the gel. I figured a bit of gel left is better than root damage so i left it at that. Planting was easy and it rooted very well
