BCA MOBILE

Attack On Spam
Since we reopened BCA i have been noticing ALOT more reported posts from you guys which is GREAT. We have a great community that cares about the content on our forum. Alot more bots have been able to login to our forum and just post garbage which sucks, but that's the nature of a community such as this. I have just recently within the last little bit installed a new program which should or hopefully help with spam.
What's happening right now is a bot (fake user programmed to signup to whatever forum it can) is signing up to our forum and posting ads. What this program i installed does is it looks at the username, ip addy, and email and verifies with a central database of other known spammers. If it matches known spammers it's not allowed in. Easy eh! So we will see how well it goes, i have a report which should tell me how many it blocks.
Closing threads and Auto Move
I have been able to setup the auto move when closed feature. Basically what this does is when YOU close your own thread (in any classified section only) it will automatically move your thread into the ARCHIVE. So PLEASE PlEASE PLEASE close your own threads! If you don't know how, ask someone, or a moderator, or post a thread in the complaints/suggestion. If you see someone's thread that should be closed, please remind them to. And just to confirm this is only in the classified sections!

nice thing about this new version of the forum is only 3 clicks and he's banned, all posts deleted, and all threads he created deleted. EASY
