Website Restored... again... ( sep 23 )

Hey All,

So i believe we have fixed the root cause of the problems on bca over the last two days. I believe this was caused by a hardware issue on the server we were on. I have been awake for about 3 hours with the data center we use and they actually had to transfer the server to another server.

We have restored back to yesterday so hopefully not much data was lost in that time.

If you find anything odd or out of the norm please let me know. I know the importance of BCA as a tool for many visitors and sponsors here so i apologize again. This was simply something out of my hands.

Yup it's been a losing battle over the last 2 days, i kept getting corrupt file after file.. 700 emails sent to me regarding it. I have a failsafe which are the backups which i did, then it corrupted again so that lead me to get a bit frustrated. Then last night the server crashed, some type of hardware failure. The data center was able to move all info to a different server and here we are again, should be the last of the corrupt hardware.

Im pretty good when it comes to doing backups, but will be taking a extra step to get another redundant system in place to do further offsite backups.

I learnt my lesson from the big bca crash years ago lol

Hahaha!! I can just see it now... the fish "mob" running in, carrying Shawn away and locking him into a 1000 gallon tank.

We are all so spoiled to have such dedicated mods. Thank you all and of course mostly to Shawn who has sacrificed his sleep!
