two locations in richmond and burnaby. north road @ lougheed hwy will be the closest. There's a light to enter the parking lot when you go a block down on north road (fitness world is accessed by the same light). For a long time i missed where it was since its hidden in the bottom corner of the strip mall pretty much nestled under the skytrain.

IPU it's a very different store. A lot less brands vs Big Al's.

As previously said, it was (past tense) the same store. Grant, the owner, managed big al's and then bought out the franchise and rebranded the stores IPU locally.

I know grant is trying out new products for the store to carry so if you have suggestions on product he's missing out on perhaps you can take it up with him personally or on his forum section on the site. He's really quick to answer or help you out in private.

With big al's being an online store theres a lot more variety than satellite stores would carry in stock too.

IPU stands for Island Pets Unlimited, formerly the Big Al's stores in the lower mainland.

Unfortunately at this time we do not have any franchises in BC.

BigAlsOnline.ca is nationwide and offers free shipping on orders over $35.00 excluding heavy weight items.

However, if you wish to get more information to open a franchise in BC please go to our Big Al's Homepage for more information:

    Default Big Al's

I stopped in to a Big Al's store when I was in Toronto last week. I was impressed with the huge inventory and reasonable pricing. A bunch of items I can never find locally they had on hand, which was pretty cool. I could see the obvious similarities to the IPU store design and layout. Big Al's had a wimpy shark tank.
