    I think what happened to us as you read Mitch's post about it I have the right to call Bigals a bunch of crock! Notice this thread is near 2 weeks old and not even a single BA rep has replied to it. Mitch's post says it all. Don't know why ppl support this type of service...Bigal's really needs to polish up their poor customer service... Enough said...

    Gave it a bit more time and canada post said call Big al's and get them to initiate a expedited search request or something along those lines, essentially it is putting pressure on canada post to look for it quicker than the 5-10 days they quoted me. I called in and spoke to a supervisor, he said that the next morning, today, their shipping rep would do the work and he would call me back first thing this morning.

    That came and went, and then I found out that the parcel had actually been sent back to Mississauga. I will admit it is better that I didn't get a broken one, but I had to wait on hold with Canada Post for 1 hour to get that info. I never got a call from Big als, which I find more irritating.

    I called into Big Al's and spoke to the same rep as the day before, the guy who gave me to his supervisor. He knew who I was and said the supervisor just went out for lunch and he'd get him to call me back asap. Time goes by supervisor does not return, so rep called me back.

    I had asked him what the options were, and he said I could
    wait for it to get returned, then they clear the return and resend it to me
    order another one
    get a refund.

    I was now somewhat irritated as they knew the package was coming back and thought they might just be able to send me one to help me out as they knew the product was coming back and I had already paid for one with delivery date that had well passed.

    I said I couldn't wait and the rep said ok bye and hung up before I could ask for any confirmation number or anything about the refund.

    This post is just a heads up, and update to the thread, so take it how you want to. This is a forum and reviews are meant to be shared, good or bad. Based on this interaction, I will never deal with Big Al's again. Shipping is not their fault, as things happen, but when you say you will do something such as a call back and there is none that's not cool, and when you hang up on a customer that is never alright. I can understand if someone is being belligerent or rude, but I was not and this is something that I find unacceptable.

    Sorry if they are a sponsor here but stuff like this should be shared in a community.

    PS. if there are any big als reps here perhaps you guys should crisp up your web page about the price matching if you are going to be sticklers to the fine print:

    I've had nothing but great experiences with them the multiple times I've ordered through them, including the discounts, communication and shipping. Sorry to hear about your bad experience with our sponsor.

    Yeah up until this point I had ordered or been a part of around 10 orders through them, which is why I had went through them with the price matching as I thought that I would give them a chance to match the price of their competitor. It will be the last time I order from them as I am starting to wonder if/when the refund will be processed as I never got a confirmation from the rep before he hung up on me and I have had no communications regarding the refund.

    No problem with that at all, it should also be noted though that if price matching is being matched against overnight or priority shipping then the same should be offered as opposed to charging for a premium service and... well I guess in my case not delivering at all.

    Also, as of today there has been no refund, nor any refund email or anything which is going to make me call in again and hope that I don't get hung up on again prior to getting any confirmation of refund.

    Another note just to point out that the page you linked to is different than my page which was live when I ordered.

    I do appreciate your response though as it is good to see that there is some type of service being offered, and can appreciate the time that it take to overhaul such a big site.

    Also as of August 3, 2011 the webpage has not changed it's content. The second part of the price match that states that shipping charges, taxes and other charges are taken into consideration is at the bottom of the page.

    Hi Big Als Rep,

    You are correct to say that the content on the page you had provided has not changed... however the link that the best price match guarantee went to on your home page used to go to this page: Best Price Guarantee which clearly states what I had quoted as:

    "Our Lowest Price Policy is limited to products sold online in the United States."

    It is a moot point as far as this discussion goes, I just wanted to point it out for you guys to correct as sticking to the rules is something that you guys adhere to at all times.

    You are correct that the destination url has been changed, but please don't quote August 3 when trying to point out that I am wrong as my order was before then, and if you want to listen to the call I spoke with the rep about that line.

    But I did just find out that my package is now in Victoria so I can be looking forward to so more awesome fun. I guess that is why I never got a confirmation email about my refund after the rep hung up on me.

    I think that there is enough back and forth here to last a lifetime, so I sent back your pm about it and if you want to contact me anymore you have all of my info in the pm or on the order so we can go from there.
