Default Discus Grow Out Contest... Gauging Interest

I have been playing around with the idea of running a discus grow out contest and would like to see if there are enough folks interested to make it a successful event. I believe this contest would be a lot of fun. Even more importantly it would be a tremendously education experience as it would showcase discus being raised under a variety of conditions.

Many of you may already be familiar with this type of contest. For those that are not the basic idea is...

    1. A number of interested hobbyists that are able to provide suitable housing arrangements for a group of 6 young discus would be selected to participate. I will provide the discus. There may be a small entrance fee ($20?) charged which would be donated to a good cause.

    2. Each participant would have their own thread describing the set-up that the discus are being kept in and providing details about their care. Regular photo updates would be expected in this thread, at least once every 2 weeks.

    3. At the end of the contest the best discus from each group will be graded by a neutral third party and the winners announced. Prizes will be awarded.

The above is a very generalized overview. If there is enough interest I'll post another thread with the official details. So let me know what you think

Too big for 6 tiny discus. They would be very insecure. But Rick will be drawing up guidelines.
