    Default Jason's Discus Adventure

The big day has Finally arrived! I am on my way to pick up 6 wonderful baby discus from Rick and start my adventure!

This is what I will start with:
A bare-bum 25gal tank with an older canopy with a (17W?) fluorescent light. An Aquaclear 30 with sponge, floss, and carbon, an air-stone powered by an Elite 801. Trying out one plastic plant and a chunk of driftwood.

This is what I will do to start with:
1/3 - 1/2 water change every other day. Treating with Aqueon brand water conditioner (good sale ). Run the tank at approx. 28 degrees C. Feeding frozen bloodworm, New Life Spectrum Discus sinking pellets, and high quality colour flakes - if they likey. Feeding will be 4 times a day - the only plan is the pellets around noon with an automatic feeder (wish me luck on that one)

My grand display only hours before stock arrives...

Good luck Jason, but you know it's gonna be on as soon as I bring mine home, lol. Competitive joking aside, you've been so pumped for this contest from the beginning, it'll be fun to watch you and your baebaes

Jason, your set up looks great and thanks for the detailed description. I especially like the heavy aeration. Good luck in the contest and if you need any help/advice at any point I am here.
