Default Local Raised Discus Preview With Videos

Lately there have been quite a few folks contacting me looking for my "famous" local raised discus and I have been collecting names on a waiting list. I figured I'll post this here and anyone else interested can contact me and I'll add your name as well. Putting your name on the list does not mean you are obligated to take the fish it just means you will have the first chance at them when they become available. I have several batches growing out at the moment and they will be made available when they reach 2"+ total length. The price will be $25 each.

    Wild Lago Solomon x Snakeskin:

Very limited numbers of these F1 juveniles will be available in late March or early April. This may well be a one time offering as I have subsequently broken up this pair and placed the wild male with a different female. I want to use him to bring wild genetics back into as many domestic strains as possible. This is a rare offering to get offspring from a very high end wild parent. There will be both 9 bar and 14 bar (snake skin) phenotypes available from this cross.

    Classic Alenquer:

Limited numbers will be available in early February. A classic wild type strain, these are a favourite amongst visitors to my fish room.

    Snakeskin Alenquer:

Available in late March or early April. Similiar to the Classic Alenquer but these have 14 bars instead of 9 and typically have less blue markings.

    Brilliant Turquoise:

Available in late February. This is a classic German strain, my original pair was from Stendker. They are tough as nails and feature a bright metallic blue colour.

I love the Jack Wattley, but I am curious to know if 18 years of inbreeding would cause any weakness in that strain?
