Finally, it went to a cat fish hobbyist. This is one of the bigger one. It measured at 7.5" to the fork of the tail, not including the traitor. It was nice and fat.
Though the story did not stop there. This customer of mine, has purchased quite a few cats from me. A very good guy, and I love to go fishing with you by the way, that can make some amazing pilewood tank. About 4 months or even longer ago, he purchased a group of my last false jaguar catfish. Since then, I have not gotten any.
Today, I was taking apart the whole tank trying to catch some fish. I lifted up a piece of wood, big piece of wood (mopani), and let it sat on top of the glass top. And for some reason, I kept hearing grumping noise. I kept checking around and I could not find anything. Finally, before I put the wood back in, I heard the grumping noise coming from the wood.
I checked and checked every where, and there was a false jaguar cat in the wood. It was in there for months without me noticing it at all.
So I thought what will be better to show appreciation to my customer, I packed the false jaguar and gave him the single fish so it can join the group of his as a gift.
Finally, the long lost cat can meet the rest of the group instead of hiding out in a piece of wood... No wonder why my small fish keep missing...![]()
