Default Info needed on L240 vampire

    Hey
Just picked up a L240 vampire from Charles a few days ago and while it's settling in, just wanted some experiences you guys have had with them. I'm currently feeding it hikari bottom pellets at night, and he is getting some leftover bloodworms, bineshrimp, and beef heart during the day. He shares the tank with a regular bn pleco, a very small L10a Pleco, and 8 Cory cats. Then of coarse there are 8 discus in there too. Any comments on their behavior as they grow would be much appreciated.

Be sure that the 240 gets some veggies, they can get bloated quite easily if fed just meats. Veggie pellets they will very happily eat.

L240 is my favourite leporacanthicus-- attractive, active and a great personality. X2 on Rich's comment-- throw in some zucchini, algae wafers, etc, as they are omnivorous. They are territorial, especially with conspecifics, but I've kept many with other smaller species and never had an issue. If your tank is planted, you might want to reconsider, as these guys are beasts and will easily uproot plants and decorations as they mature.
