    Ah yes, the good old cuckoo catfish, Synodontis multipunctatus
    Dwarf cichlids = more personality per inch than just about any other fish (maybe even animal) that you'll ever have as a pet

    Read about it, but it's different when you see it. Never gonna look at my multipuncts the same way again!

    amazing video!!! i had one of those cats in my cichlid tank too and I had no idea they were such pricks in the wild! lol

    So a decent solution to cichlid keepers who dont want to deal with breeding :P

    No quite, because you'll end up with Synodontis fry, instead of cichlid fry, which are more difficult to raise, or so I've heard.

    I saw that video a while ago & I to heard about it before, but never saw it till that video. Watching my cute Synodontis Multipunctatis & Petricolas I would never guess they would do that either, but looks are decieving!

    My large female Multi layed a clutch of eggs just over a month ago but didn't make it.

    Yeah, all catfish will basically be DRAWN to eggs / fry.
    A little heads up, these guys will also eat the eggs once laid and relay their eggs on same spot to get cichlids to care for them, its a syn trade and one of the ways of getting them to breed.
