    Default L191 not eating

Looking for some suggestions on how to help my L191 to eat and be happy. He has sunken eyes and stomach and was one of the few survivors from a losing battle with Ich which all but wiped out my tank . I have zucchini , yam, and wafers in the tank but he is not interested at all and looking pretty weak. Water params are good pH 7.2, temp is 78*, gh 8 and kh 3. Most of the salt from the treatment should be gone now after 2 40-45% and 1 33% water changes. The BNP is doing fine along with a red tail shark so I'm not sure what the answer is. If there is anything else I can do please advise, thanks in advance. Luis

He's likely got internal parasites, you can try praziquantel or metronidizole(sp). Try raising temp to 84 degrees. I have been able to bring back some discus from the edge of starvation with increased temps, treatment with prazi, soaking their food in metro.

I agree. I had this problem with my L191 and lost him. I'd quarantine in a smaller tank with wood in it and treat with Prazipro.

have you also tested for anmonia and nitrite level?

Is this fish from me? I have treated with internal parasite twice before selling the fish. I really don't think it is the issue here unless you get the fish from somewhere else.

It could also be medication trigger stress as well. Try doing daily water changes, with no light in your tank, and use leave type of veggie like bai choy everyday.

Thanks for the suggestions, I am starting to do them as I type. Yes Charles it is the one from a few weeks ago, I don't know what happened. The tank just went crazy. Not sure he's going to make it, looks very skinny and weak and not moving much if at all. Ammonia and nitrite are 0, trate is 20. I'll keep you posted. Luis
