    Default Need breeding tip

I have 3 albino bristlenose plecos. I want to get experience on breeding plecos so I'm first trying it out with Albino BN's. I have 2female and 1 male. Male is about 2.5" and the females are 2.5" and the other atleast 3". They are in a 40 gallon african cichlid tank. Tank has driftwood and holey limestone rocks. Do I need to put them in a seperate tank with a pleco cave or can I just put a pleco cave in the 40gallon?

    Thanks,
    Clint.

what is the PH in the african tank?
the BN like a lower PH around 6.4.
even if they do breed in the african tank i don't think you would ever see the free swimmers.
and yes the pleco cave is a must.
i would would put them in their own tank for best results.

Ok. Will try putting them in another tank. Do they need substrate? Or can I just put a pleco cave in the tank?

Ok thanks. Haha I'll have to see if the driftwood will fit in a 10 gallon first ^^. If not, I'll try to get a small one for the plecos hehe .
