    Default Pleco:10, Airstone:0

Came home today and the 9" sailfin pleco had obviously decided that the airstone was a tasty treat.

See pictures for the result, but I think Mr. Pleco was the clear winner here. He now has some extra cucumber to distract him from eating anything else in the tank.

Yeah, but you have panaques! You expect a panaque to try and chew through the tank (which is why I have sadly given up on the idea of a watermelon or royal for now...acrylic tanks + panaque = bad news). The sailfins aren't usually as bad, or I didn't think so. I still want a watermelon, though!

He has driftwood, I guess he thought that the airstone looked like a nice change.

Doesnt even resemble an airstone hahaha! Was lunch/dinner served a bit late that day? Iam assuming he/she is quite dominant when it comes to food? Got two smaller panaques in an acrylic setup myself and havent seen them on it yet,but my driftwood is getting manicured nicely

Well, I'm sure it's not GOOD for him. And yes, breakfast was late that day. I usually fast them 1 day per week, and I guess he felt deprived.

Luke, have you had any kind of issues so far with the panaques and the acrylic? If there's a chance it will be OK, I'm willing to try it. I really, really want a watermelon plec!

I didn't know that plecos were so munchy! Wow! Does that apply to bristlenose plecos, too? And crowns?
