    Default Plecos and clown loaches?

Can you have a tank with both a pleco/couple of plecos and clown loaches in it? I've gotten kind of hooked on how cute our plecos are (common and 2 baby albino b/n) and am having a hard time with the idea that our common will have to get rehomed when he outgrows the 55gal.

The 2 b/ns are going into the 55 gallon when they're big enough (right now they live with the shrimp), but I was thinking about big tank (90 gal or bigger) eventually for a group of clown loaches and was wondering if the big pleco might get along with them?

pleco and CL = no problem. Though you need to feed more for the pleco to get to food.

Meat-eater is better as CL will need a higher protein diet. I would get rid of the common.

Yes there should not be any issues.. and i agree with charles to get rid of the common..it has a huge waste (feed him red anf green foods and he will decorate your tank for christmas) and they can be really difficult to get rid of once there big..

clown loaches are awesome.. especially if you have a snail problem.. they suck them right out of the shells

I have them in my tanks. Louches, plecos, synodontis, catfish. Love them.

I have several plecos, clown loaches, and cories... all bottom-dwelling my 125G tank. Never had a problem but like Charles says, CL are fast pigs so you just need to ensure food gets to the plecos.

Glad to hear they can be kept together! I`d kind of like to keep the common...I have fancy goldfish so I`m used to tank pigs, and I can work the feeding thing.

Of course this is all at least a couple of years off, so I`ve got some time!
