    Default Sustainable Otocinclus

So this summer I am planning to grow a ton of vegetables. I have decided on growing things that Otocinclus like to eat. So please share any successes you have had with feeding your otos. So far I have had them eat:
    • Zucchini
    • Cucumber
    • Romaine Lettuce
I need more than that to grow though and I am sure there are other things they will eat on occasion!

Boy Choy. Easy to grow and very high in nutritional value. They can also choose to eat either the tougher white stem or the softer green leaves.

as stated, bok choy is really good, so is guy lang (sp?) and kankung. My absolute fav, though, is green kale. Easy easy to grow and store (rinse the leaves and lay out on a rack between tea towels to freeze.) Once frozen, put the leaves in a bag and you've got a winter supply of incredibly nutritious green food.

I have tried Kai Lan (don't think there is an official spelling) but that's an easy one to get around here. And thanks for mentioning Kale. I'll have to remember to try to grow some this summer.
