    Default Flowerhorn Question

So I bought a 110g tank (48Lx18Wx30T) Beautiful, I know. It cost me $400 with tax new!!
Anyways I have a 4" Flowerhorn right now living with a 8" foxface catfish and they seem to do fine. With the flowerhorn occupying mainly the top + middle of the tank what else can I stock it with so the flowerhorn won't kill it?!

Nothing. Flowerhorns should be kept alone, and it also depends on personality. I've had flowerhorns that would completely rip and tear apart plecos and ones that would choose to leave them alone. You can get it a female if you choose to breed them, but the tank needs to be separated. Good luck!

So that's it huh?? Well what the he'll did I buy a 110g for. A 75 would have done the same job. Lol, I guess more catfish? Since he's fine with the current foxface.

I am in the same boat. I have a 108g. I have two female flowerhorns, black ghost knife, geophagus, clown loach, and a synodontis catfish. Surprisingly, the flowerhorns just goes after each other but leave the rest alone. Really strange.

I am trying to get rid of one of the fh right now so if you need a female, let me know I am reluctant to get rid of the bigger one cause she's really pretty but she is def putting a damper to what I want my tank to look like ATM

Interesting! Picture of the female and size please?

Ive got a SuperRed Dragon/Fader Flowerhorn about 4.5 inches, i think he's a male. Recently Ive added a Parrotfish, Redhead, Severums, Texas & Jewel Cichlids, Yo-Yo loach, and lots of cory's (they hide under rocks when their scared). The tank is flourishing! The only problem I've had is with this Killin Parrotfish (which is like a flowerhorn mixed with a parrotfish), one day i noticed them lip-locking and flairing their gills. I think they wanted to breed with my Redhead Cichoid but they havent fought since, and the injuries were minimal. All the fish are in a 100 Gallon Aquarium. Do you have any pics of your flowerhorn?

I have had flower horns in comunity tanks before... Its not that bad. They just cant be the dominant fish. This, however, presents most people with a problem, because 1, not as much color, 2 not a big kok. FH do best on their own for sure. If you want a community fish, stay away from Viejan cichlids or Viejan crosses
