Default Help!!! Can I put One 4" male convict chiclid in my communinity tank???

I am pretty darn sure it wouldn't be a good idea , but I have one on male left and he's all by him self now in a ten gallon tank and I really Need to make room in my house now that my babies are running around and im shutting down all but one of my tanks I would sell or most likely give him away but I have had him a for a while and I couldn't forgive my self if he ends up as food . I would rather keep him

I would lean towards no, but my male convict was pretty aggressive.

See that's my problem mine is all alone so I don't know how aggressive he is. But part of me would like a tougher fish to put my red tail shark in his place since he has to be the most aggressive red tail I've ever seen ( but not kill him) But I'm most worried bout my L144's and my Bn's I would in a snap trade him for a female or two Bn's. Since it turn out I got nothin but males

I think he would be fine. Convicts are most aggressive in breeding pairs, and even then only in a pre determined nesting area.
I have kept convicts with all types of gentle fish with no troubles. Fish learn to avoid the nesting area quickly.
If he is a problem I would put him in my 180 gallon SA tank. I am looking for a convict now. I have all non violent fish.

Depends on temperment, I had a pair, the female killed my Jurapari and the male badly traumatized my Heckelii... and then one 1 inch fella in my community tank turned by betta's tails into stubs. So...your call xD
