    if u got a tank with cichlids how wide is it? ,mines about 13inches wide and my blood parott will max out to about 8inches hes about 6inches at the moment., i hear u can get tanks that are 24inches wide, i gota have that lol just wondering a standard 75g narrow like 12inches but extra high and long?

    Doubt that you can get a 75g that is only 12" deep. I tried, have to be customed. Saw that on CL once, hesitated and gone

    75ish gal tanks usually average 16" & 18" wide to my knowledge

    12" front to back? why would you want that? Maybe for a show tank but it's not a good long term tank.

    12" top to bottom would be interesting.

    Kind of depends on the species of cichlid... I keep dwarves and angels, so the deepest I have is about 13 inches.
    Dwarf cichlids = more personality per inch than just about any other fish (maybe even animal) that you'll ever have as a pet

    The more width the better!

    My fave. Cichlid tank all things considered (maintenance, Feeding, Growth rates) Is 120 gallon (4X2X2) For looks, I love hight for SA cichlids. My 160, 30" high is a pain to maintain, but i just love the look.

    My 70g is 48x15x22 as far as I remember, I would perfer it to be shorter and wider (say 15 tall and 22 wide), but it was cheap used so whatever

    thanks im actually searching 2nd hand lately as the new ones by say fluval charging 400 plus lol looking for wider tank.
