Hey i got this guy yesterday as a rescue. I am asuming hes a fader but wondering if you guys think he will turn out nice? I dont care about a kok i just want colour from him. He is about 4 inches and very active. He body looks more pink and the face has more orange under the blackness.

Maybe... the mouth/snout doesn't look quite right for an FH though... I'd say part FH (or w/e was bred to make them) and part something else SA/CA.
Dwarf cichlids = more personality per inch than just about any other fish (maybe even animal) that you'll ever have as a pet

Looks like a red devil crossed with another CA cichlid rather than a midas crossed. Mouth does not have the midas looks.

now i'm just referencing my cichlid atlas and to me it looks as though with the way the dorsal fin is swept back and the way the anal fin slopes towards the tail fin part Psedotropheus Zebra and Flowerhorn. After 1000 pics of Malawi and Tanganyika i show nothing like this, maybe in the Non Lake Cichlid variety??? i don't know.

Try e-mailing Eric Talson, through Doug at Africian Rift Lake Aquatics, send them a pic, I'm sure they can sort it out..
