Kribs are a good choice for a community tank... until they breed! Then they can get nasty. In a tank this size, unless it's very heavily planted with lots of hiding spots (and even then), I would fear for some of your other fish. Guppies and swordtails, in particular. I've never kept SAEs so I don't know who would win that battle, but the other ones would likely suffer at the hands of the kribs. That's my experience, at least.
You could always keep only males or only females kribs of course. Then it would probably be ok.

I had posted a note regarding this topic earlier today. However, since the site was restored to one day prior, it was lost.
In my own experience with kribs, and having a breeding pair at the current time, I would also have to agree in stating they are a suitable community fish. The only concern I have is for any male guppy with its larger, more attractive caudal fin. Swordtails should be just fine, I do have several with my kribs and all is well. Kribs do however go after anything close to their breeding site, but in a 36 gallon there should be plenty of space for your other fish to get away unharmed.
Just gonna add a bit more to what was said, any bottom dwelling species(cories,SAE,plecos, otos etc) will have a hard time when kribs start to breed. They will be harrassed constantly, even if you have a few spots for them to hide in or use.I even noticed them eating up/taking all the food dropped in for them as well.

Personally, I would add Rams in a community tank. German Blue, Gold, Balloon rams are all very good community fish.
