Looking to add to my AC tank - Suggestions?

I know Bugaboo just posted a similar thread but I did not want to hijack that one so I will start my own.

I have an African Cichlid (Tang/Malawi) tank with some clown loaches and am looking to add some variety. I understand from the previous post that Synodontis catfish could be an option. Any other non-cichlid suggestions?

I just put a Niger Bichir in my tank about a month ago and he is happy. No one is giving him any trouble and they leave him alone. Of course he will eventually have to be relocated,but for the time being he is very fun to watch.Have you thought of any goby cichlids?I am growing some out.
