doesnt anyone even have a good guess??? I would like to have a pair, and was hoping someone could tell me about the one I have. Thanks, Betty
Take a closer picture of the underbelly, see if she's ready, if it's a female, you'll see around the anal fin area a white spot about to pop eggs out and with a giant belly! Never had a male, so can't tell the difference! but that's the only way i found out mine wuz a female long ago~

Thanks, I thought it was female, but wasnt sure.
your GT looks like mine betty
are these fish polygamous like africans?
As far as I know they are monogamous, one male and one female. Dont know if they stay as a pair after the babies are gone though if there are other GTs around. But they probably killed all the others anyway when they were breeding and guarding their eggs!![]()
