saved my Female Blues Life

Holy shizzia,,, My Female that I stripped 2 weeks ago, was doing good after i stripped her i left her in the breed out tank for 2 weeks so she could regain her strength and feed properly i thought all was good i guess not

I took her out today and put her back into the big tank when all of a sudden the big male came over and wanted to mate instantly, even though there is 2 other females in there for him ?? .
Well i guess this big ole' son of a Bitch thought she was ignoring him and well he put a ass whopping on her, after 20mins i went back downstairs to find her floating upside down and not much left of her peck fins and tail fin left in tact plus she has a huge lesion on top of her head.

I quickly took her out and put her back into the Breed out tank I guess i'm staying up all night to make sure she makes it throught the night, she sometimes flips over on to her back and stops to moving all togeather, i need to grab her and get water moving past her gills and then she moves on her own...... ohhh its going to be a long night, anyways will keep everyone updated........ Africians= Brutal when they don't there way.....be back later...

yup... funny how that works well i'm off to the basement for some sleep, right next to the tank where my female Blue is in, call me crazy but i really don't want to lose her...
I'm sure she will be ok but just incase i can at least keep her mobile for the nite, i'm already tired, and like i said before its going to be a Looongggg nite..................

sorry to hear this. i have actually found the least amount of time out of the main tank the better so they dont lose their rank. i was surprised to learn that females will also fight other females for breeding rights. hope she turns out ok. i had a son red empress beatt eh crap out of his daddy tot eh pointI had himin a bag ready for the freezer and then company came and i noticed he was upright in the bag so i put him in another tank and he fully recovered. good luck with your gal.

How is your fish doing? Sounds like she is getting the best care possible. I hope that she pulls through.

Shes doing so so right now,mostly laying on the bottom of the tank, she moves about kinda hard most of her peck fins are chomped away and her tail fin is really beat up, I think she'll pull through.
