what can I put in a 26G bow front ?

I want to get back into cichlids, my guppies, gold fish and beta's are boring. I have a 26g cycling and will be ready in a week or so. I would prefer a single friendly fish like an oscar or severum. all though I am doubtfull about how long I could keep a fish in that size of tank. any other smaller freindly cichlids ?

well....it is going to be tough to keep a cichlid other than say kribs, or shell dwellers or something in a small tank...you could for a while but most cichlids require more space as they tend to grow

Apistogramma, Laetacara, or Mikrogeophagus all get about 3-4 inches, and are relatively easy to care for and breed. Apistogramma cacatuoides is a good beginner apisto, and there's always the option of bolivian/blue rams of course. The thing with dwarves though is that you must have about a square foot for every female apisto, or pair of rams, so a 26 bowfront you could have 2 pairs of rams or a trio of apistos, but I suggest only put a single pair to be safe.
