    Brittany,

In my opinion your first fish looks like a Placidochromis johnstoni.

Here is a photo of one from a member on Cichlid-forum

The first one is a female Protomelas Taeniolatus (red empress), Pretty sure I see a male in the background of the first pic.

Im pretty sure the other fish is Aulonocara Stuartgranti (Sunshine Peacock) although they usually dont have that much purple on the body but that could be from the flash enhancing the colors, Or its possible its Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi Undu Reef (Lemon Jake)

The colors could resemble " afra " or " fullbourni " also. The shape of the head is off, if you google image search " red peacock" they look very simular!

Female Protomelas taeniolatus do not have the turquoise colour on their body, and have a more rounded nose than the Placidochromis johnstoni.

well thanx all but I know they neither a red empress or an afra, I believe Moloto is right about the first fish being a Copadochromis johnstoni, but I still have no iead what the second fish is. After researching I can also say it is neither a Aulonocara Stuartgranti or a red peacock.
