I'll be the first to admit that I have a black thumb. Plants in my tank tend to survive only through strategic interventions by my boyfriend, and my occasional blind dumb luck in getting DIY CO2 to work for more than two consecutive hours.
Luckily, there are aquatic plants that appear to thrive off of such neglect, and I'm gathering together a package of them for $10.
First on the list is a patch of highly generic crypts. Angelfish fry make for a lousy scale bar, but the plants are around 8" tall.
Next up is java moss. I believe that if one were to go off of typical sizing, this would be considered slightly larger than golf ball size.
This is probably not the exact clipping that you'll be getting, but I'm also including 20+ inches of hornwort. This plant grows at a crazy pace--I started with 6" of the stuff in August, and I've already given away at least 10 feet of it.
Finally, there is a water lettuce/salvinia combo. If the plant package is picked up on Wednesday or Thursday, it'll be about a 10x10 inch patch of plants. It'll go down to a handful after that, as the water lettuce is choking off the light in half my display tank.
These plants are currently growing with T5 HO lighting, but no CO2. All plants are highly likely to have ramshorn or pond snail eggs, and one of the tanks does have black brush algae, unfortunately.
I'm south of Kits on the west side of Vancouver. I'm available most week days after 6pm, and am pretty flexible on weekends. Sorry, no delivery.
