1 - 50W Elite submersible heater

1 small bucket of new ADA I Aquasoil (media has been submerged to remove ammonia)

That's a really nice setup, Stu. I have the same rimless 8 gallon from Corwin/Munster and also the same Macro-Glo light. That light produces outstanding plant growth in that tank.

Here's a link to the thread I started awhile ago just after I set up my 8 gallon rimless (same tank, same light, different filter). One of the 2 photos in the first post is of that tank. (The other is of my Dymax3 nano tank, which is much much smaller.):
