Here are some picture's of some of the varieties. Also a little info from the breeder about Philippine blue angelfish that I clipped from one of his posts. If you have any questions about them or any angelfish I'm sure he will pop in to answer them.

Here is some background information that Neil Oyama from Hawaii gave me on the different varieties of philippine blue angel varieties.
Pinoy:
Is any combination of genes that includes 2 philippine blue genes & at least 1 dark gene. This is also the only phillipine blue variety that Ken Kennedy who developed philippine blue angels actually named.
Paraiba:
Is any combination of genes that includes 2 stripeless genes & 2 philippine blue genes. The paraibas have blue body patches that extend from the bases of the fins up or down into the dorsal or anal fins & tail & some also have facial patches. The paraibas are named after a blue/green gem stone.
Pinoy Paraiba:
Is any combination of genes that includes at least 1 dark gene, 1 gold gene, 2 stripeless genes, 2 philippine blue genes. These are as described a cross between the 2 varieties.
Citrines:
Are a new variety developed by Neil Oyama with 25% wild blood. They were found in a spawn with a 50% wild, 50% silver philippine blue & a pinoy paraiba. The citrines are a light color, stripeless fish with bronze & colored body patches with some of these patches extending into the fins & facial areas. There are less than 100 of these fish in existance spread between 4 breeders who are attempting to fix it as a strain.
Wide Fin:
Fish with fins that are typically shorter & wider.
Thread Fins:
A standard fish that have thread like extentions radiating from the top & bottom of the dorsal or anal fin. Some also have them coming off the outside of the anal or dorsal fin as well.
These definitions are how they were explained to me so I hope it helps with some of the confusion surrounding the different varieties of these fish.

My favorite's are the silver ghosts. It is very difficult to photograph them and show their true colors. I have the luxury of storing fish for Harold so I get to see all of them in my tanks.![]()
