    Default120g aquarium levelling question

Just wondering if I can use durofoam 1.5" white styrofoam from Home Depot under a 120g glass trim Aquarium tank.. or should I get something thinner like the 1" but I can compress it with my fingers from the edge of it .. not sure what else I can use..

    Thanks in advance

How out of level is it that you are considering using 1.5 inch foam? Personally i would not trust leveling anything to foam but would prefer wood. Cedar shims are an excellent way to level things. Are you looking to level just the tank or the stand as well?

I hav. 3/4" plywood sheet on stand and then a 1.5" foam... it's off a bit from the front left side of the tank it's not touching the stand so I thought I will shim the stand and plywood rather then shimming tank and the stand

The high density foam is better (pink stuff), but you're unlikely to have a problem with the durafoam. Level the stand at the base as best you can and fill the tank.

Foam is not a way of levelling your aquarium first of all.
I levelled my 57g with cedar shims and a mallet

My 6' square tube steel stand for my 125g was not level. The tank would rock back and forth on two of the corners. Quite a bit actually. Once filled, everything settled; no problems, no foam.

I Went to london drugs and bought a pack of those foam tiles you piece together to stand on . Worked like a charm.
