Default breeding gone wrong.. I want to cry!

So, unexpectedly, my silvertip bn pleco's laid eggs. And the male was tending them and all that inside a shell ornament that i have.

They all hatched a few days ago.
My gf told me to separate them since its my community tank. Plus i didnt want the other fish to eat them.

So, i went ahead and moved them into a breeding box- without the dad, which hangs inside the same tank they were born in.
Fed them the same stuff i feed the parents, but crushed up.

Water parameters are good. Which should be since there was spawning.
    Tank is definitely over filtered.

Conclusion. Of the 50-60ish frys that i moved. about 18 of them survived

The ones that survived, i ended up dumping them back into the main tank, and see if theyll survive.

Anyone able to help me out on future spawning?

When my silver tips breed, I will leave Dad with the hatched fry for about 1 - 2 weeks (they live under a piece of wood) I then will catch the fry after about 2 weeks of being on their own, and put them down in my albino BN tank.

I always miss a few and just catch them the next time. This is in a 72 gallon discus tank.

I think if they are too young leaving dad and their "home" it stresses them out or they can be picked on.

They will spawn for you again soon I am sure!

My ABNP's keep on going, I leave the dad with the fry for about a week or 2 In the cave the were born in.
Then after that I move them into another tank, with all my Guppies, and Mom and Dad do it again,
Right now I have about 80 fry and now another clutch of eggs
So yeah no worries they will spawn again in no time..

    Cheers..
