just spot treat them it worked well in my tank with staghorn and hair algae

I'd just add 4 or so amano shrimp and let them do the job, but If the hair algae is in with the Mbu, then that's not really going to work out; well, not for you anyway, the Mbu probably wouldnt mind =P

Yeah he was referring to injecting it with a baster or syringe full of metricide locally to the spots, as opposed to it being poured into the top of the tank. Originally Posted by Johnnyfishtanks

Hello Johnny.
Why not get a Crossocheilus reticulatus from Canadian Aquatics? These guys will eat hair algae. I believe Pat has them for $20 at the moment. These guys also eat BBA.
