I pretty well stop using CL now. Glad I found all my tools before it gets absolutely ridiculous

It is still possible to find something if you do a specific item search to screen out all the other nonsense.

    I agree.

I used to love craigslist. It was a tool you could almost trust. Even a resource at times.

Now it's getting dirty, messy, and mean and very disorganized.

Truly a shame people can't seem to self police their own behavior.

I have nothing but ongoing gratitude for such a great site and its members as BCA - my cyber 'home away from home'

I would never buy tools or anything that you think people can steal and resell on CL. Happen to me once when I bought a chainsaw and it turn out a stolen and the police took the tools from me and lucky I pick up at the guy place so they go after him instead.

Craigslist has good sellers and buyers, but is so large and high traffic that you need to be able to filter out the 'noise'. I find selling things on there to be frustrating and rarely worth it due to the volume and quality of responses you receive, but if you are specific about what you are looking for there is plenty to look through. In my experience other local classified sites like Kijiji have nowhere near the volume of items Craigslist has.

You have to be careful what you are buying and be able to read the contact. Carry-able really not worthwhile and yes risky.
