Just got a cool little catfish

    Default Just got a cool little catfish

    I believe they were labeled as hara hara, A quick on google confirmed them to be Hara Jerdoni, aka stone catfish, really cool cute little guys they are nano size as in 3/4" and have added them to my planted shrimp tank.

    Anyone keeping these in planted tanks?
    who is yo daddy and what does he do?


    75g SPS and Clams Reef
    50g breeder Ultra LPS Reef
    30g hex PFR shrimp
    15g 3pc rimless BKK, CRS SSS, CBS and Panda Hillstream Loaches
    15g rimless Yellow, Red rili, Tiger and Babaulti shrimp
    2g salty invert species tank

    Absolutely love mine! I've got a small colony in a 44. The tank has a lot of hardwood leaf litter, which is where they mostly hang out. I think they spawned, because I'm seeing some very small cats in that tank.

    Hey Chris,
    Are they getting bigger or they stay about an inch, and do you if they eat shrimplets or not?

    I have seen one before, i think someone was selling it here a while back, really cool looking one indeed

    yes. Among other things, they feed on small aquatic invertebrates and worms in the wild, and baby shrimp qualify. they'll eat fish eggs and (I'm 99% sure) newly hatched small fish.

    Cute! I had a bunch of those guys in my little Africa tank! They hid in the crushed almond leaves most of the time.
