Anybody ever ordered fry about 1 inch big from livefishdirect.com. Just ordered 9 tropheus ikola about that size. Am pretty nervous about having $200 of fish shipped. anybody any experience with them or this in general?

my wife and I import fish on a regular bases (fish you can't find here). We have had good luck so far. It all depends of the shipper, how long they are in transit, and how you deal with them when they get here. When you receive them use the drip method and do so over a period of hours. Don't rush it. Also feel free to ask Grant about the IPU water conditioner.

you mean adding drops of water slowly trough an airline tube right? I guess it would be a good idea to acclimatize them as slow as possible. Thanks for the tip rescuepenguin

that will work. make sure you dont mix sub species of tropheus... dont want hybrids. on the importing part, you should be ok. apparently the other order went well with them... no worries! hope you like them!
