Bought two needle nose gar (6''ers) and Im being told they only eat live fish AKA white clouds,
Has anyone had luck switching these guys to pellet food ? Im currently trying with hikari massivor floating sticks.

are you sure they are a true gar?
250+ gallon Peru Flower Rays,Id Shark,Temensis Pbass,Mono Pbass,Orinoco Pbass and Jumbo Silver Dollars.

ive read it's related to a freshwater baracuda and not a gar, or so ive read, I don't really know much about gars yet,

yes i think is not a true gar so may only take live foods..
have you tried silver sides?250+ gallon Peru Flower Rays,Id Shark,Temensis Pbass,Mono Pbass,Orinoco Pbass and Jumbo Silver Dollars.

Ive been feeding live white clouds, Are silver sides those frozen minnows? the ones ive seen are a bit to big for these guys

Ya they are the frozen minnows.
