Spirulina powder?

I just dropped by a local health food store asking for spirulina powder. None - $30 for tablets in a bottle of 100. Trying to cultivate some algae on rocks with the powder.

Anybody know of a good source for Spirulina powder, or even capsules? - I can open up the capsules and use that too?

Are you trying to grow a spirulina culture? 2-3 years back I bought a bottle at one of the health food store at Landsdowne Mall in Richmond. I can't remember which one but the brand is "Earthrise" 180g powder. 100% natural.

Thanks for the source, I think I can look up some suppliers in my area. I'd be using the spirulina powder as seed to grow algae on rocks and rotate them into my tanks for the algae eaters.

I bought my powder from the health store in metrotown. They had big bottles of the stuff in there.

I was going to check Nutrition House @ Metrotown. I think they carry Earthwise products.
