I was in my fishroom today cleaning tanks and removing fry when a young blue dragonfly landed on my arm.
I had brought some plants in from my barrel ponds and guess the larvae was in there and hatched.
An interesting addition to the livestock<G>.

I'm a fan of dragon flies. Always chasing away the yellow jackets when I have a bbq!
Cheers,
Chris
I had never seen any around here.
I took down a pond in the beginning of October and had the plants in various containers around my yard.
I'm guessing the DF was in one of the plants I brought in.
One is a water Lilly that was a rhizome and now after 2 weeks has leave on stalks 2 ft long.

lots of good things come from out tanks!
this is a casing from a damselfly that hatched in my apartment, and a photo of one of the dragonfly nymphs I took to a local pond. I still have one in with some spare male goodeids... it loves microworms:-) Pretty cool, actualy.
