    Default Water Movement

I'm thinking of loading a 75g with Cardinal Tetras but I read that they like slower moving water but at the same time I'm also afraid of there being dead spots in the tank where the water doesn't move if the HOB current is slow? It's going to be a barebottom tank with rocks and driftwood and easy plants like moss and ferns. Should I just use sponge filters instead? Opinions on this issue please~ Thanks~

Was thinking of using a smaller HOB lower GPH with lots of canister filter stars and line the back wall with this to promote water movement.

Imo sponge filters will not be enough, especially if you have no gravel or substrate to house the bio load need for allot of fish. if it were me i would get a canister filter. imo you can't beat the bio cape ability of a canister filter. if that's not in your budget i would get a power head and place it at the surface to keep the water on top moving. hope that helps Cheers
