Don't know what the best temp is but I've been keeping mine at 80 degrees in my Malawi tank for almost a year and they're doing well.

Yep 78-80f is what my tanks are kept at anything lower than 78 risks ick with clowns I find.

Thanks.. That's around 27C.
I have kept mine around 28C but want to lower the temperature.
