    Default White worm identity???

Hey guys, I noticed in my planted/snail tank there are these white segmented hairy/bristled worms. They don't seem to be parasites as my snails are multiplying like crazy, and they are free living. They vary in sizes, some are so small you need a magnifying glass to see, and others are about 1cm long. Mostly found on the bottom, but also on walls.

I'm guessing they are in a kind of nematode, but i'm not sure

Anyone have any idea what they are?

Planeria. Product of over feeding, Google it for more info. my big tank has an exess of them cause my Oscar and Dat are such messy eaters.

planaria aren't segmented or bristled. Both those features indicate insect, probably one of the bazillion types of midges. Blood worms are a type of midge, but not all midges are red.
