depending on the type/size of the cichlids, you might be more likely to find the lobster missing...

On the other hand, baby lobsters make nice cichlid food if they manage to breed ?

i have seen them get huge and eat anything they can catch but if your fish can t get away then i guess its survival of the fittest

We have an Electric Blue Lobster (around 9cm) with a bunch of Cichlids.

In the past, the Cichlids were quick and were able to get away easily.

However - yesterday afternoon, we found a Dead Yellow Lab between its claws and being eaten - : ).

I had just fed the Cichlids in the morning, and they were all healthy and swimming nicely - unlikely that the Yellow Lab had died by other causes.

Hello, as far as i know they are like crayfish, they are ambush predators. so the fish are fine in they day but at risk at night when they slow down. My brother found this out the hard way when he woke up and found his crays trying to kill one of his angels and then they actually got and killed one of his GBR. so good luck to the store. Cheers

I agree with Scherb lobsters probably will ambush when the lights are off and the fish are less active.
