I purchased my first aquarium about 6 weeks ago. I went all in and got a pretty sweet deal on a second hand 90 gallon aquarium with a sweet stand and light. So now I have a nice freshwater setup.
So I've decked it out myself and made my own filters and stuff and so far, so good.
I've been working in land based aquaculture for about 9 years so I love my fish, but I've been traveling around a lot (I'm Australian) for a long time hence why I've never had a fish tank before. I've got a sweet job at the moment so now's the time for me to get initiated!!
At the moment in my tank theres a mixed bag of tetras, angels, gouramis and rainbows, as well as 4 different types of plants (kinda forgotten there names haha, my knowledge of aquarium fish and plant species is very limited). My filter seems to be nicely seeded so I'm trying to line up some juvenile discus to get in a week or 2. Should be fun!
Anyways guys happy fishing! Will post some pics when my tank looks respectable...
