About LinkBacksHello folks. As can be seen from my forum name, I am Dan from Calgary Alberta.
I have been keeping fish on and off since I was knee high to a grasshopper (and that would have been a prehistoric grasshopper! Why I remember when we used to hop on our saber tooth grasshoppers and ride them to the LFS)
Recently, the last of my primary spawn (4 daughters) has vacated the house for University campus, so I find I have time and available space and thought I'd get back in to the hobby.
Currently have 18 tanks up and running, largest is 90 gal, smallest is about 2. I like to breed fish, so have everything from annual killies (N. Kafuensis, N. Korthasae, S. Santanae) to a pair of SuperRed Severums.
It is my intention to work on the CAOAC Merit award, so will be doing a lot of spawning in the next while. I've sucessfully spawned 41 species of fish on the Calgary Aquarium Society BAP but will be working on some random stuff that I never really got a handle on spawning (like the easiest of the easy, things like white cloud minnows and danios! lol! I just never found egg scatterers that interesting!)
I found this site from a comment someone made on another site about their being live chat here. I thought that might be interesting. Thread conversations are neat, but I like a little live chat once in a while, as I find it more interactive and a fun break from the work day.
