Courtenay is a nice area.
I just set up my salt water tank last year after tons of research and dumb questions, so be sure to ask anything you can in here, it'll definitely save you a headache or two.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I thought it might be useful to be able to talk to some other BC'ers here since I'm not going to Vancouver or Victoria for any aquarium club meetings. I'm also going to ask questions about supplies and suppliers in Canada. I read a couple of int'l forums, but they don't help much for finding stuff here. I'll try to help where I can in the FW sub-forums.
Used to breed Cyphotilapia frontosa.
Chris, how's your tank going? How big is it? and yeah, Courtenay is wonderful....I love it here....

Welcome to BCaquaria, don't worry we are relentless questions-answerers. That being said, I am not yet a "salty", so my ability to answer questions is limited. I will say that my brother in law wanted to get sea horses, purchased some sexy shrimp on impulse, now is setting up another tank, because they are not compatible. Moral of the story, always do homework, and never my anything on impulse.
