New to Marine Tanks in Kelowna

Hi, I've had various freshwater tanks for as many years as i can remember...but have wanted a marine set up since I first went diving in Maui about 10 years ago and fell in love with the reefs !
As luck would have it, my nephew had a 55 gal set up that's been in storage for four years while he's been at university....and he's offered it to me. I pick it up tomorrow !!
My hope is to set up a reef tank of sorts, with live rock, some soft corals, inverts and several species of fish - clowns, tangs, etc.

Seems though that resources here are pretty limited.....so far have only found two small pet stores that stock any marine supplies such as live rock and sand...which more than likely means paying through the teeth for it !
If anyone has info on some local suppliers, or hobbyists willing to share...any help would be appreciated.
