    Default New from Surrey B.C

    Hey everyone,

My name is Chris, I would just like to take a few minutes to introduce myself and say hi. I am completely new to owning aquariums and have little knowledge about the ins and outs of owning a salt water aquarium, but very excited about the endless possibilities of owning a tank. For starters I own an oceanic 29gal Biocube that I purchased on eBay, just need to pick it up from my cousin place in the states. My goal is I get my tank going as soon as possible and established from there I want to play around with Invertebrates and exoskeleton creatures to start and see where that takes me. Anyways thanks for the warm welcome in advance and I'm sure you ll be hearing from me again.

Sup. My name is also Chris, I live in Surrey, and own a 29g biocube. I'd HIGHLY recommend you do what I did and start with a FW tank to get used to the nitrogen cycle, proper maintenance and stocking, along with anything else that arises. After a year of that, and the help from this forum, you should be ready to slowly walk into the marine scene.

Too be perfectly frank, you'll be setting yourself up for disappointment. I remember that advice to me when I first started, and although I didn't want to hear it at the time, it was invaluable.

    Cheers,
    Chris
