I'm not even sure if I should post in the intro area.
I assume the forum was re-created in April? I obviously wasn't paying attention and haven't visited for about a year.
Paid approximately the same amount of attention to my fish, sadly, and now have a 50 gallon freshwater tropical planted(I use the term very loosely at this point) tank with 2 cardinal tetras, one glo-lite tetra, one bristlenosed pleco, and two amano shrimp.
Moved the tank and finally took notice of how pitiful it looks.
Goals:
Create an attractive planted environment
Build a DIY CO2 unit and ph monitor
Stock the tank with a school of cardinal (Does 9 seem like a good number?) and glo-lites (also thinking 9)
I think I'd also like to add maybe a trio of what will grow to be medium sized fish as the centrepiece, maybe koi or marbled angels, or else gold gouramis. I'll probably just leave the BNP as the only bottom dweller since he seems really territorial. Is that normal? I might try a group of cories.
Anyways, hello to everyone, and happy holidays.![]()
